When you install, the system will generate all default password but it is very important that you change those passwords. Even when you log in to FreePBX web page, there are some notices saying that you have to change those passwords. This topic will guide to accomplish this task.
Login in the web page with ip address of your server.
Defautl username and password FreePBX web pages : admin and admin
Isn’t that simple… but you do not want give access to everyone to your server. So to change it
Admin >> Administrators >> <username>Admin
At the same time, you can create a new user and avoid to use admin user in the future. So, you can use the admin account for emergency or for plan B
As you can see in the message, you have to change also Defautl Ari password.
To do this, you can do it by going in Advance Setting located at the top or doing via command line. Open the file /etc/amportal.conf
After change the field ARI_PASSWORD= <my New Password>
Save the file and reload the service amportal : amportal reload
By the way, as you may notice, the default user name for Ari Service is admin and the password is ari_password

To change the default password , you have to modify /etc/asterisk/manager.conf and /etc/amportal.conf
For manager.conf : put your new password
After, change the amportal.conf file with the same informaiton
After that, restart the service, one more time….or if you did all the change at once..now it is time restart the service.
